24-hour Super Wal Mart

I'm travelling on business and there is a Super WalMart directly across from my hotel room window. I thought this would result in wacky WalMart parking lot hijinks observations.

Instead:

I did buy some sick iron on studs....I just wish I had 1 hour to go to shopping so I could do some hotel room crafting!

I got the sickest layering piece ever...from the Girls department. Yes, I bought clothing from WalMart, and yes, my girls are Girls size.

Speaking of WalMart, have you seen this? I found more evidence there.

Making good...

...on my New Year's prediction, I finished this hunter camo jacket last night, using the same pattern as for the leather jacket. The only things re-used here are the zipper and the thrifted cotton lining, and let me just say it was a pleasure to sew with straight-up basic cotton after the last few projects.

My 2009 Prediction

I think 2009 will see RealTree camouflage become the next big thing.

For me, it all started with a trip to Kmart and the purchase of a hunting cap.

Cabela's has 100% silk pajamas and hats.

Jacket and miniskirt from the Realtree site

"vintage" skirt from the MossyOak site (they also have bras and underwear, and swimsuits!)
