OK, so the flamingo is probably THAT side of cutesy, but the applied wing detail is just genius. I could see this done more symmetrically and on the back instead of the front for costuming purposes.
I love birds' nests, and while this is a screenprint, how much fun would it be to machine embroider something like this, working in bits of feathers and string as you go? I'm not very artistically gifted, but this is totally within my abilities.

these are really interesting artistically. i can see how they could be over-the-top in ready-to-wear but maybe the idea could be interpreted with a little bit less drama... way cool though!
